Product Description

Review

BBC Cult, review by Nev Fountain, 14 December 2004: " Dan Dare is the quintessence of future nostalgia. It's a wonderfully exciting collection of stories, escapism for boys in short trousers stuffed full of catapults and cigarette cards."; Eagle Flies Again Newswire: "The quality of the reprinting continues to be superb and this is a welcome addition to Titan's ongoing Dan Dare library."; www sci-fi-online.com January 2005, review by Ray Thompson: " The stories are engaging, the art work is beautiful and the colour vibrant.."

Comic World News February 4th 2005

"...classic stories beautifully drawn by a team of dedicated artists headed by Hampson."

Generally well-produced and quality binding.
Interesting additional articles on Dan Dare.

The only real criticism is the small format, which could make it difficult for some to read the text easily.
The original comic had a substantially larger page size.

Just as 'Thunderbirds' the original 60's puppet show stands out throughout the generations because of the care and attention to deetail so does Dan Dare.
These stories are full of great ideas and twists and turns and are so different from many comics of it's or any other era.
Their is so little violence and the story is carried along by invention, tension and great concepts. When fighting is needed it just adds to the whole feel of the scripts.
Do yourself a favor and get this and enjoy it because you will.
