The Long awaited Volume 3 by the wonderful Nat King Cole has been released.
"Eight Classic Albums Vol.3"
It matches its predecessors for excellence in sound and performance.
Like the rest of this excellent and bargain priced series the Cds have no information and minimal information but heck they are a brilliant bargain.

At the time of writing Amazon do not give the track listing.
So this is not a review as such just some information so that potential buyers can actually see what's on the CDs
The sound has been remastered and The Real Gone Music (Jazz) label have received much praise for how they have done this BUT I would urge you to check out more knowledgeable reviews including the Amazon USA site. .

The eight classic albums are
"Top Pops (1955)",
"Penthouse Serenade (1955)",
"Harvest Of Hits (1952)",
"The Piano Style Of Nat King Cole (1955)",
"Unforgettable (1955)",
"Nat King Cole Sings For Two In Love (1956)",
"After Midnight (1957)" and
"Just One Of Those Things (1957)".

As you can see the eight albums are spread over 4 CDs.
This annoys a lot of people who would prefer each to have its own CD but the amazing price really does make up for this I would suggest?
The 4 Cds are held in a simple card case with minimal information if any!
I've also put the actual Classic Albums names

BUT I may have made a few mistakes.
If you see any just add a comment and I will adjust and credit you with your sharp eyes and patience.

Track List:
[Disc 1]
Top Pops
01 Somewhere Along the Way 2.52
02 Walkin' My Baby Back Home 2.37
03 Faith Can Move Mountains 3.10
04 Funny (Not Much) 2.56
05 Hold My Hand 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars some wonderful stuff 28 Mar 2014

If sincerity, warmth, faultless style with beautiful tone are a mark of genius when put together, then Nat King Cole was a kind of genius. Some of the songs on these 8 reissued LPs (on 4 CDs) are little known and almost no one else has recorded them. Which isn't surprising, because in these exquisite and impeccable performances Cole sets a bench mark which is near perfect.

Some songs here are standards and famous, but Cole can transform even dodgy numbers with his natural sincerity and unmistakable velvety voice. He gives a song meaning -and it starts to resemble a masterpiece. Could anyone else make a song like, 'So This is the Kingdom of Heaven', sound quite as beautiful as this ?

Nat King Cole is most at home in bittersweet numbers, and discs 1 and 4 of this set contain the really treasurable studio work, dating from 1955 and 1957. A few of these wonderful performances are unequalled in popular music. This CD set also includes some of Cole's delightful recordings as a stylish and scintillating jazz pianist (first issued as 2 LPs, 'The Piano Style of Nat King Cole' and 'Penthouse Serenade').
