Here you have 1000 brilliant ideas to feed you without expecting much skill on your part. And they're all very inexpensive.
This student recipe book is unique. All the recipes are organised into batches. For the first batch you only need a knife and a chopping board - tasty meals with no effort. Then nothing more than a kettle and a toaster, and onwards and upwards to slap-up meals to impress and share with friends.
These recipes don't need scales or measuring spoons either - everthing works with an ordinary spoon and a mug.
This is the only cookery book that you need to eat well when you've got practically nothing to work with!
P.S. There's plenty for vegetarians too!

A really good buy!!,

When I went to uni i found this book really useful! There are so many different recipes (that are all really easy to follow and make) so I didn't have to be stuck with the same boring meals all the time. There are some really good ideas in here, either for students or a novice cook that needs some simple meals to start them off. Recommended!!

When I decided that it was time to forego frozen food and start cooking a bit myself - after living on my own for two years - this was one of the books I picked up. I'm not a gourmet chef. My dorm-room kitchen is definitely subpar when it comes to size and facilities. Yet, I managed to produce edible, and tasty, dishes with the help from this book.
Some of the recipes I tried were a failure - perhaps due to the fact that my Scandinavian palate wasn't accustomed to some of the more "exotic" British dishes? But the majority of them went down without a hitch, and I've found myself making the brown onion soup over and over - as it freezes and can be reheated quite easily. My favourite part about this book, however, is actually the size of the recipes. A large number of them are meant for one, which I like, living on my own. But if I want to cook for friends, there are also several that are meant for more than one. :) It's a pity that it is a paperback, as some of the pages of my copy came loose, from overuse. But that's the way it is.

This is a wonderful, wonderful book. I hated cooking until my aunt gave it to me for Christmas, and although I'm not at uni yet, I use it all the time. The recipes are incredibly simple, but taste amazing. I can't recommend it enough!
