trauma vaud-a ville 11 July 2010
Format:VHS Tape
The one negative review appearing here is greatly in error when he/she states that this film is bad for a troma film. It is in fact, technically and on every other level definately one of their best. They cant have seen any other troma films is all i can think. Its grease meets class of 1999 with wild anarchic, deviant behaviour showcased in a series of loosley connected scenes which culminate in a crazy, hyper silly creature climax putting a very psychotic cherry on a completely bonkers cake. No one scene lasts more that a few minutes and the whole thing speeds along to its finale leaving the breathless viewer to contemplate the insanity they have just witnessed. A true classic of gonzo film-making before the word GONZO was invented. A must for 80's gloop and sharp toothed monster fans, made all the more enjoyable(for this viewer at any rate) by an early appearence of my fave american band "THE SMITHEREENS". All in all a late night, beer soaked hoot NOT....repeat NOT!! to be taken seriously. Thanx!

FANTASTIC!!!!! 22 April 2006
Format:DVD
This film is wicked, the acting is truely amazin and the effects are top notch. Its defo worth a purchase, I have the spill - ology - amazin. The original is in a class of its own compared to the two sequels, however the third is genius, especially the special powers of the glowing arm, brilliant!!

THE ATOMIC HIGH! 12 Sep 2003
Format:VHS Tape
This has to be one of Troma's best movies.
It has a wonderfully dark sense of humour with great bad taste gags and surprisingly decent special effects.

A large power plant has had another spill of toxic chemical radiation and it is escaping into Tromaville highschool, which lies next door to the plant.
The chemical causes the students to become mutated monsters and impregnates others, causing them to give birth to monsters that grow up larger than their mothers. Worse than that, the school is populated by gangs of low life thugs known as the CRETINS. Who wants nothing but trouble.

This is Troma at it's spectaculary gross out best with better than usual acting with lots of genuinely funny moments.
It's success spawned 2 sequels which failed to be as delightful as this classic.
