Have bought Nature shoes since the mid 70's this is my 4th pair and I still like them.....but not at the regular price.
Look good, very comfortable, easy to clean and ,durable and won't need repairing.

I was a primary school teacher for more years than I care to think about and always on my feet as you might imagine. Throughout my teaching career I always wore Clarks shoes especially the Active Air type. I still wear these shoes in retirement as I have found them to be supremely comfortable, well made and long lasting. I Think the design of these shoes ( almost flat underneath ) is the best of the lot, and despite being rather expensive they ARE the best value in the long run in my opinion.

I've worn Clarks Natureveldt shoes for twenty years and loved them. One pair has been resoled twice. They're fit to be repaired again but Clarks don't do that since the factory moved abroad, more's the pity.

I'm grateful to Amazon for supplying this current version at a low price. You won't find them on the high street because Clarks don't market them in Britain. In North America and Europe, yes, but not in the UK. Bizarre!

This pair arrived promptly and were a better colour than expected. The site offered only Brown, which was a rather bright tan colour that I didn't fancy. I decided to order it anyway, for the sake of having a new pair of reliable shoes, and planning something creative to tone them down a bit. I was delighted when the colour that arrived was Ebony, a blackish brown in a semi-matt finish, just what I really wanted. Are Amazon reading my mind now?

I've worn them around for a couple of months now. The fit is okay, with the firm comfortable clasp of the foot that you need in a shoe for walking. There appear to be a couple of reservations, small but fairly important:

The quality of leather is not as good as in my older English-made model. It is noticeably thinner, is not as well finished, and it gets wet too easily. I doubt that it will last for twenty years.

Some people have remarked upon the surprising slipperiness of the new kind of sole. I have fouind this too. Out on a rainy day, it slips on wet metal as if on ice. This could be dangerous. I used my old Natureveldts as walking shoes along country footpaths, in woods, on rough hillsides. I'm not sure that I would trust these new ones, and I don't know if they could stand up to it.

My conclusion is that this is a good-looking shoe that I will be happy to wear around the house and in town, or out for a drive -- which is enough, that was my main purpose for them -- but that I would not regard as fit for walking on rough or wet ground.

It's a nice product, and a fair deal at Amazon's price, but it isn't quite up to the original Natureveldt.

The picture when I ordered showed dark brown stitching (which I would have preferred) this has since been corrected (6/14).

I've had several pairs of other nature 2 variants over the years and they are extremely comfortable for my wide feet..
This leather is very supple so perhaps may not last quite as well as other versions of this shoe have.
Sole is hard wearing and light tread does not pick up too much grot!

Good value at £49 inc postage

I am a long-term wearer of Clarks Polyveldt and related shoes, but find that, in 2014, the soles, which used to be nearly indestructible, now hold out for around a year maximum.

However, the shoe shops do not normally actually have a stock of these! so once you know your size you have no reason to brave the crowds in the precinct. I have not yet found an alternative as the general quality of shoes on offer plummets far faster than the price.

These Nature II are a far nicer design than Nature III and were delivered quickly and efficiently to my door. I knew the measurements so, er, they fit... ;)

I have only just received these shoes so Amazon's request for me to review them is premature.
This is a replacement for an old, identical pair of shoes that are still serviceable, but getting too scuffed for smart wear. I have used Clarks shoes for many years.
The new pair are a good fit, exactly the same style as before, and very comfortable to wear and for walking.
My only reason for four rather than five stars is that manufacturing moved from UK to Vietnam and I am not sure the quality remains as high. Time will tell.

I haven't had them long, but for the time being this is exactly what I expected from Clarks. Very good quality and competitive price.

This was a product I had purchased before; so I knew exactly what to expect. The size was a correct fitting for my feet.
