I love wine, but I rarely love books about wine, but this book might be an exception. The information is very easy to locate and understand. I especially like the fact that this book has a global feel and doesn't just focus on France.

With a reputation for always choosing the wrong wine, especially when I have to dash down to the cafe at the end of the road five minutes before the guests arrive, I was thrilled when my friend bought me this book for my birthday. It tells you everything you need to know about wine and then some. And even better, it's really small, so if fits in your handbag and can be whipped out when you're doing the groceries at Sainsburys.

I have been buying the Wine Buying Guide for some years now, as it helps me find the bargains in wine shops in my area. The Millenium Party Guide included in this year's book is a great idea. Looking forward to New Year already.
