5.0 out of 5 stars A welcome update, 29 Oct 2006
By C. Smart (Edinburgh, UK) - See all my reviews

Having tried to be engaged with the old "Tune a day" books that my clarinet teacher used to base her lessons, and regularly failing, this refresh finally captures the excitement of picking up the instrument.

The print is clear, the music catchy and interesting. The CD is invaluable for helping keep a steady pace and, with some of the pieces played both in full and with a backing track, gives a good idea of the sound that you should be trying to achieve.

5.0 out of 5 stars A New Tune A Day. Ned BENNET, 31 Jul 2009
By S. Duffell (England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I've just started playing the clarinet and I looked at a number of books before buying this one and I have to say it's wonderful, paced, fun, I can't wait for the next day and the next tune. The CD is a brilliant accompanyment and there are 97 tunes, if I get to the end I will pretty much be an accomplished clarinet player. GREAT
