An excellent introduction to Clarice Cliff pottery - succinct and to the point, with superb illustrations and a much better buy than other recently published books on the subject(which, incidentally, are much dearer).

For new collectors especially this book will inspire and encourage you and help you buy pieces that have the edge - I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I bought this book on Amazon by Will Farmer and I was very surprised how easy is to read. This is the perfect BIO of Clarice Cliff (20 January 1899 - 23 October 1972) who was an English ceramic industrial artist active from 1922 to 1963. Will Farmer who after 7 years of success still appears on the BBC's smash hit The Antiques RoadShow tells the story of this business woman who became a pioneer for ceramic industrial items. This book is a must for experts and whoever would like to learn a bit more about this fascinating woman and her art.

Very well written and informative book, beautifully illustrated. I would recomment this book to anyone interested in Clarice Cliff whether they know a lot or a little about her. Also or those who have not been interested in her work before.

Fits nicely in a jacket pocket and provides the A, B, C for those new to Clarice Cliff, being accurate, brief and concise. I am not really a collector, but needed to obtain a general overview of this item which I could carry around and which was easier to read than simply googling or looking at Wikipedia. This book is ideal and is a fantastic aide memoir for those with an interest in this field. Highly recommended.
