Even 'intelligent, active women' put on weight while they're pregnant, you know. And to be fair... how do you know how active she was at the time before that picture was taken? She put on a lot of weight when she had her baby and once the baby was born, she worked out to get the weight off. And no, it's not a fake picture. The reason it looks so bad is because it was taken while she was mid-skip and they've captured her just as the fat is wobbling a bit, so it looks dimpled. Remember that a photograph shows an image of a split second in time, so you can easily get a picture that's incredibly unflattering (even if the subject of the photo is very slim) and makes the flesh look more dimpled and wobbly than it really is. It's not trickery, just an extremely unflattering picture.
