4.0 out of 5 stars Still counting down...., 3 Jun 2006
brilliant album. Suzie is an excellent song, a briliant, driving chorus. boy kill boy are a band full of energy, they have a full sound, with synth and hard beats similar to the surge of post-punk bands we've witnessed the rise of during these past 24 months. similar to a hard rock killers, they deliver infectious sing alongs such as "On and On" and "Six Minutes". lyrics are patchy at times, but then, who expected poetry on a debut album?? Boy Kill Boy are definately a band to look out for. for those of you who wanted an opinion on this album in particular, you should have stopped reading after the first two words of this review. everything else is irrelevant.

5.0 out of 5 stars got to be one of the best albums this year, 10 Jun 2006
By Anna (Suffolk, England) - See all my reviews
i bought this album having heard none of the songs and decided due to great reviews here that i'd take a gamble and buy it and it was so the right thing to do. The First song on the album back again immediately gets your attention and is great but my personal favourites are Suzie and Friday-Friday. I'm not a some weird music critic or anything but i've got to say that this is one of the best albums around and if you don't buy it your really missing out. This album gets you sucked in immediately - it's not a slow grower. All the songs are so good they are all rated four or five stars on my iPod - and that's not common. Buy this album - or your really missing out especially all the indie fans out there!

5.0 out of 5 stars Countdown to the disappointment? You won't be disappointed with this album.., 1 Jun 2006
I have been eagerly anticipating this album since first seeing the then unknown Boy Kill Boy support HARD-Fi in the 100 Club last April. It is an album that doesn't disappoint, that keeps the listener hooked...and stay hooked because there is a beautiful secret track at the end.

From fan favourite Back Again to recent single Suzie, to the sad love story of Ivy Parker, to the manic sound of Chris' voice on Killer, the synth friendly On and On, and my personal favourite Friday Friday, this album has something for everyone. In fact what is great about this album is that each track is a potential single - there are no fillers!

Boy Kill Boy are one of the most exciting bands around at the moment - buy this album to find out why. And if you haven't done so already try to catch Boy Kill Boy live. It would be a 'civil sin' not to...
