I saw the 1-star review of this bike just after I had placed an order and was initially worried, "OMG what have I done".

[Edited in response to the other reviewer's comments] Nice to see the bike once all the nuts are tightened up as described is a good buy :-) still available on eeh-bay for those interested!

Every bike needs to have an initial "tighten-up" and inspection on receipt, and this folding bike is no exception - And in comparison to non-folding bikes, it is a much simpler matter, especially on the folding / rising joint fixings - there is a knurled nut which needs to be gripped with some grip-nose pliers and the hand-hinge can be twisted clockwise to increase the tension in the spring.

This simple action resulted in rock-solid fittings which don't loosen in the course of a normal journey in the manner the other reviewer described.

I am find the bike a joy to ride - the twist-grip gear-changes are super-slippery-smooth and provide enough flexibility for riding fast on flats and downhills, and negotating uphills.

The folding mechanism is fast and easy, and there is always the option of not dropping the height-adjustors on the seat-post and handlebars if space is not at a premium. When fully pushed-in and folded down however, the bike easily fitted in the boot of my volkwagen golf without needing to fold the back seat down etc.

Overall very impressed and only giving it 4-stars not 5 because it is possible to buy it direct from Lindo, via a well-known auction site for about £30 less (2 a day are auctioned, though as word is spreading, I've noticed the final-sale-price creeping up - testimony to how good value this bike is).

I'll revisit this review in the next few months and report on how it is faring over my daily commute to work, but right now, I am a happy City3-biker! :-)

Original intention was to ride 1 mile to railway station, get a short train commute and then ride 1/2 mile to destination, 5 days a week. Turned out to be a bit heavy to carry up stairs at station, the seat post too short (i am 5ft 8, so I'm not that tall) and the front post wobbles and feels dangerously unstable.. Because saddle cant be extended far enough, the, riding uphill was agony, because of the saddle being too low. In perspective I can ride up this hill, normally in 3 minutes; with this bike I had to get off and walk twice! To finish, I had the seatpost and locking bolt stolen, so I would recommend swapping the bolt for one that needs spanner and screwdriver. They say that "buy cheap, buy twice" but as the alternative is £750+, its more a question of weather this product is roadworthy at all? This hasn't worked out as the solution I was hoping for.

The bike, delivery, and refund process was perfect.
However, this review must be based on the product itself. A fault with any minor part of the bike is acceptable, but for the handlebar post fitting to snap after 2 weeks of use is a major flaw and extremely dangerous.
Luckily I rolled when I came off the bike instead of landing on my neck; What if a child was riding this bike?

Take note and double check this part of the bike in future!

Thanks.
