Wow! What a strange movie... I'm a big fan of JC and I was very curious to see him as a 'manga character' and in the end I'm satisfied.
This is not a movie... well, better call it animemovie; the special effects, the sounds and the acting, everything is at his extreme. JC is hilarius and brisk as always... it is just unusual to see him chasing girls every minute!
Of special notice: the "street fighter" sequence (JC is dressed like Honda and then as Chun Li... ehm...) and the fighting sequence JC vs Richard Norton

Jackie takes on the role of a Manga character City Hunter who is sexist, always hungry, a big womanizer, and a great fighter. The humour in the film is very broad and some of it doesn't translate well. The action is superp with a great skateboarding sequence and a really good end fight. Overall a very good film with something for almost everyone done with typical Jackie Chan finesse.

Jacky animemovie 12 Jun 2006
Format:DVD
This is a very strange movie its either a love or loath it type.

The story is based on the anime city hunter,if like comic book humour than you might like it but for me got to repulsive after a while.

Jacky chan was in good physical condition for this role but I dont think his best movie by far.

The street fighter sceen was best part of the film thats worth seeing apart from that I would avoid.

Its a movie that tries to hard to be humourious but fails miserably however the serious parts are amusing in the vice/versa sense.

The Funniest Chan?
This could be one of, if not the, funniest Jackie Chan movies ever.
It can be a little slow, but worth watching just for the Street fighter homage.

Don't bother, even if you are a Chan fan
We love Jackie Chan in our household, and have got used to not expecting much of a story line because this fact is usually made up for ten fold by the action and comedy. Read more
