About the Author
Clifford Simak was born August 3, 1904, in Millville, Wisconsin and died April 25, 1988, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Simak was the third person to be awarded SFWA's Grandmaster award, the first two were Robert Heinlein and Jack Williamson.
