Product Description

City Choreographer "City Choreographer" interprets and explains the participatory design process that was central to the work of landscape architect Lawrence Halprin. Situating Halprin within the larger social, artistic, and environmental ferment of the 1960s and 1970s, it demonstrates his profound impact on the shape of landscape architecture and his work's widening reach into urban and regional development and contemporary sustainability concerns.

Lessons Learned from Halprins and Hirsch 3 Jun 2014
By Robert S Harris - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This thorough and insightful study exhibits the spirit of the Halprin's collaborations - between themselves and with a wide array of other professionals and communities. Any readers who did not already know about this work will now be very well informed, and for those who know and care about participatory designing there are lessons to be learned both pro and con. Real scholarship that is fascinating to read.
