A quick but beautiful read, filled with allusions to a deeper landscape. This is the sort of book that leaves me thinking, dreaming, building bits and pieces of the world it could have been part of for hours if not days after finishing it.
I thought, most of the way through, that it would have the failing many short stories have for me, of feeling trite and too quickly ended. Instead, its completion was as good as the rest, finishing the tale but not the world. I left this book satisfied, and expect to return to it again.
There are a couple typos in the kindle edition, not unusual for conversions these days, but they aren't frequent and don't distract overly from the story.
