These books from the Haynes Classic Makes series are very good indeed. As a mechanical engineer, I am turned off by the superficial technical coverage contained in so many 'coffee table' car books but this book on the Citroen is not of that ilk. It gives equal emphasis to engineering, styling, design and marketing aspects of the models covered, yet is written in very accessible language and should not put off the novice. My only regret is that it gives such short shrift to the PSA era cars, of which the XM, for all its early faults, contained a huge amount of technical innovation. There is no coverage at all of Citroens after the BX and XM.

You have to receive your book before you can review it!

I must say that I have been waiting for the book for quite some time. It would be great to wax poetic about it, but sadly I have still yet to receive it! I placed the order back in December of 2003 and with April 2004 a week away all I receive from Amazon is "we don't know"
Amazon, if your list a product on your site then you may want to think about actually having a product to sell!

What else can I say? If you are interested in the hostory of Citroen from the Traction Avant onward, you'll find this book to be very interesting and informative!

There seems to be some hold up with the publishers, Haynes have promoted the book in the U.K. Classic Cars magazine, as being available in the UK, but we Amazon customers wait patiently, in silence, this review space our only form of discourse. I can only assume that the book when it is finally made available will be as good as the previous Reynolds publications.
