This book, alike all Haynes Publishings, is an essential for the novice. It is informative just to read through, useful and caters for the Citroen 2CV needs. The manual makes it clear and easy to carry out the practical tasks. I think that for a 2CV owner it would be a very useful book to have and refer to for situations. ****

Needed to get the 2CV up and running after being garaged over the winter. The manual is a soft back version - not the hard back I remembered of old - but nonetheless was perfect for the job in hand. Arrived well before the promised date - so excellent service. The one tip I really needed wasn't in the manual. I knew that after over-wintering the petrol goes stale so I had left the tank virtually empty and topped up with fresh - but no joy. Some friendly advice from 2CV City in Sowerby Bridge pointed me at the fuel pump. Just needed to remove the feed from the carburettor and apply some positive pressure to the fuel tank (just put your lips together and blow) and hey presto the juice flowed and the engine fired! Now for the open road.

With so many variations of the 2CV, a fully comprehensive workshop manual would have to be a lot longer than this one. It is helpful and it does cover most things, but as always, you can guarantee that the model you own was not the one photographed for the strip and rebuild in this book. I did find it useful in my 2CV refurbishment project, but I did have to resort quite often to other sources of information.

classic book for classic car. i am a newbie to 2 CV s but with this book i ll be able to do the small maintanance jobs and then i can go from there.

No way to rate item because I havn't received it.
I need the book because I have a 2cv here in Colorado which
needs some work on it. I could not locate the book in the U.S.

wouldn't be without it
Bought the haynes manual on the 2cv to feel comfortable on a trip through germany,france,italy,spain to provide comfort in case of a break down. Read more
