Good reliable attractive watch. I never put it in the sun as it says to recharge, I just wear it every day (indoor job) and its never gone flat. In fact I'd say it rarely sees sunlight, as when I'm out running, cycling, climbing I leave it at home.
Despite the 'scratch resistant' glass, its chipped ever so slightly on the edge of the glass, where its raised above the casing a little - dont know how this happened, I've taken good care of the watch.
Strap is cosmetically scratched a little too, again only from day to day office use / resting on a desk whilst typing etc.
Still, looks great, nice to know I wont need to buy a battery for it, light and comfy.
Oh -- the water resistant / splash resistant thing is confusing - I checked with manufacturer as I was confused, its only splash proof - no swimming, washing up with it on etc.

My battery powered watch gave up after 10 years, so decided to try a solar powered watch.
First impressions: good build quality, nice solid feel. Wristband a little fiddly to adjust. The watch contains a rechargeable lithium battery.
Charging: the best light is outdoors natural sunlight, followed by cloudy. The best artificial light source is a fluorescent lamp. When not wearing mine, I leave it in the kitchen window, where it catches the rays for several hours each day. If the watch is running low on energy, the second hand moves every 2 seconds to warn you to charge it.
As you can spend [..]a year on battery changes, this will save you money and is a good way to cut down on the number of batteries thrown out each year.
Not that many solar powered watches about. I did think about getting a Casio 'tough solar', but not keen on their plasticy construction. I find plastic straps wear through and snap off.

I bought this watch for my fourteen year old son, who always liked citizens and decided he wanted one. its very good. It never, ever goes flat despite being worn a lot indoors. It also seems built well and is a very attractive design. Homever it does scratch very easily and despite being careful with it there is a few notcieably scrathes on the bracelet, and on the glass.
