How can you tell if the Eco-Drive watch is getting enough light?
In normal use, the watch displays the time and the sweep-second hand moves in one second intervals. A very important feature of Eco-Drive is the Low Charge Warning Mode which as a result of low battery voltage, causes the second hand to jump two seconds at a time (while still keeping correct time).
How long will an Eco-Drive watch run after it is fully charged?
If your watch is put away where no light is available to it while in a fully charged state, depending on the model, it will run for from 45 days to 5 years.
How can the Eco-Drive watch be recharged?
Besides sunlight, it can be safely charged by exposing it to a fluorescent desk lamp, with the dial (face) up and within about 8 inches or an incandescent lamp (regular light bulb) no closer than 20 inches. Never use a halogen lamp since the heat generated by it can cause damage to your watch. The most efficient and the quickest is in direct bright sunlight (not windowsill) and never on the dashboard of a car.

This watch comes with Citizen?s official five year guarantee. The watch has a water resistance mark of 200M. The case is made of titanium and the dial colour is black. The case width is 43 millimetres and the depth is 12 millimetres. The timepiece has a tang buckle clasp. Additional Features and Benefits:The Citizen Eco Drive power generation system makes use of the sunlight or of artificial light to produce the electricity needed fort the functioning of the timepiece. When it is fully charged, the watch can function for up to six months. A power reserve indicator is available to provide the wearer with information about the amount of energy stored in the watch. This one is a really great watch, not only because its a great brand with a solar chargue system very interesting, but because it's a very comfortable titanium watch.
And it's beautiful!!! Es un reloj realmente genial, no sólo porque es una gran marca con un sistema de carga solar muy interesante, sino porque es un reloj muy cómodo de titanio. ¡¡¡Y además es bonito!!!

This watch is big. And I mean, sometimes I feel like I'm wearing CRT television set on my wrist. It took me a couple of months to get used to it. I used to wear a lot smaller Citizen Marinaut which I still like very much. However, I wanted Eco-Drive, so after a few months of selecting I decided to buy this. It was not too expensive and had features I wanted - titanium case, mineral glass, luminous hands, few numbers and dark face. And, of course, Eco-Drive.
When it arrived I was mildly shocked. I never expected it to be this big. Looking at macro photos of this watch does not really prepare you for this. However, it's not really heavy, it just looks as it is. I like: the overall ascetic look of it. It's really easy to read in dark. The glass still looks like new. I don't like that much: if you look at it closely it looks kind of cheap (printed numbers on small dials, seconds hand does not match second marks on dial). It's not as accurate as my previous Marinaut. Overall I'm quite pleased with it. I've had watches for more than thirty years and I'm not breaking the habit.

buy this watch, throw away the strap & replace it with a nice leather one instead.
now you have a large, elegant, high quality watch with a simple bold design. no need to buy batteries or have it serviced either. lovely.
