This is a great router - lots of functionality and easy to set up. The main reason I got it was for the Failover capabilities utilising the Dual WAN ports. I'm using it with a Virgin 50MB connection and a BT 8mb connection (for the failover). However I did have a number of issues with this router at first, which have now been resolved after a lot of experimentation.

Firstly I made the mistake of upgrading the firmware to the latest (, and after doing this I noticed that after a while (after about a day or so), the router would stop responding to any DNS queries which resulted in no internet access (or very very slow internet) on my networked pc's. After restarting the router it would solve the problem for about another day or so and the DNS problem would reoccur and another reboot would be needed. I then downgraded the firmware to, and I've not had a problem since and it's been running for days without needing a reboot.

Secondly, it seems this router is particularly sensitive to heat. I initially had it locked away inside a cupboard and after a few days it would feel very hot to touch, and the router would need a reboot once a day, as it just stopped responding. I then moved it outside the cupboard and fixed it to the wall (it has 2 wall mounting holes underneath it) and it's much cooler to touch and no longer freezes up.

Other than those issues, it's a great router - very fast and lots and lots of configuration options.
