Deeper than I expected, holds about 100 mls. Doesn't scratch the Circulon pots, remains cool to hold and is easy to clean.

I ordered this spoon to replace the one I have had (and loved) for 10 years, which needs replacing: it has stainless steel flat handle and blue, flexible silicone spoon end. It allowed me to scrape out the pans gently (say, mashed potatoes, gravy at the bottom or sides of the pan) without scratching the pan or leaving a lot of residue when serving. This spoon is NOT that. It is very expensive, and it seems all the thinking and effort (and cost) went into manufacturing the very bulky handle. The main reason one buys these things, the scoop, is solid alright: stiff and hard plastic; it will certainly not be serving ME in the fashion I hoped. Because it is so bulky, it also doesn't hang flat off the hooks above the hob area which I have. Would not buy this again--not for that price anyways, and I keep looking
