This review is from: The Circle Is Unbroken [Live and Studio 1967-1972] (Audio CD)
I am an almost unconditional Incredible String Band fan, and so own virtually everything the band has ever released, plus nearly all their solo work. It's true that this is nowhere near their greatest work-"the Hangman's Beautiful Daughter"....etc but in my view this is an absolutely essential purchase as it includes work not available anywhere else. "The Chelsea Sessions" was originally released on a lovely edition by Hannibal records in about 1997, but this release also inclues thr extra track "All Too Much For Me....etc. The second cd in a different form was released as "First Girl I Loved" on a different label in about 1998. I also own this album. This new release leaves out the bbc recorded version of "Ithkos" and includes other unobtainale Stuff like "Hag with the Money" So it is true that it's something of a mixed bag, but to an ISB fan like me it's essential. The main problem now is it's exorbitant price. I only paid about 11-99 when I bought it 3 years ago
