Finally, here it is. The funniest comedy album since Glorious was released. All the tracks are great, not just a few here and there wich sometimes can be the case on some of his albums. I especially recomend that you listen to the final track where Darth Vader visits the canteen of the death star (brilliant) or when God talks to Jesus about paganship.
If you are looking for a great comedy album you will get this and you will not be disapointed.

I was a little unsure at first, as I am sure others are as well, as I did not quite know what to expect from this CD-case. I had braced myself to be disappointed by its contents of confetti and deer-guts, but as I wrenched open the square package I got a pleasant surprise for once in my dull life.

The contents was indeed a circle.

I also found that if you insert the circle into your circle holder, it plays sounds from an era by-gone. The sounds are of high quality and its magic makes me expel air from my lungs rhythmically in a curious stomach-clenching fashion. Once, however, the voice seemed to gesture something as part of his performance, but I could not see anything but a violent, hairy alcoholic which later turned out to be me.

Top score for this circle for giving me this extra feature.

PS: Don't be scared by the bloke in the dress. He is rather nice.

Bought this for myself a couple of years ago after a friend introduced me to the Death Star Canteen sketch which forms the finale of this album. Someone has done a brilliant lego enactment of this on YouTube which everyone should see.

The topics covered are all quite hefty: religion, ancient history, World War 2, but tied together by silliness and a slightly surreal imagination. Despite the silliness, everything is approached with intelligence and you get the sense that he kind of loves all the things he lampoons.

Genius with a monkey and a gun! 4 April 2004
By Aaron - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
With the entire Eddie Izzard catalog inherently being compared to "Dress to Kill" by fans everywhere, the performance made by our favorite Executive Transvestite in "Circle" definitely gives D2K a run for it's Oscar money.
At the very beginning, a catchy bit of theme music sets the attitude for the beginning of the show. Eddie's irreverence shines brightly in the very first seconds of his dialogue ("Hi, welcome to New York... you probably live here...?") What follows is a cataclysmic roller coaster that takes you from Pope Man (and his sidekick Alter Boy, armed with Holy Water and Jesus Disks) to a universe that is awesome like a hot dog!
Eddie's delivery isn't close to perfect, which is what makes his performance perfect. His free-flowing thought keeps you captivated for the entire show. To go from organ players at Baseball games to the meek deciding that they don't need to inherit the Earth? You'll wonder how you ever got there, but you'll laugh the entire time.
My only recommendation would be to see the DVD of this show first. It's not a big deal (the show is incredible either way) but to understand all the physical segments beyond audio comprehension, the DVD is a must. Either way, "Circle" is a seamless performance that is, simply put, "awesome" (like a hot dog.)

Bloke in a dress 19 Mar. 2008
By R. Charbonneau - Published on Amazon.com
Eddie is one of the funniest comedians on the planet. The way he dances from one bit to the next does make him a bit hard to follow. If you listen carefully though, you will be rewarded with some of the best stand up in the world.

HARDLY eddie's best 25 Sept. 2008
By Megan Puchalski - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
stick with Dressed to Kill and Glorious, because next to those Circle is hackneyed, repetitive and ... flat. dont get me wrong, i love eddie, he's fabulous, but if you're buying his shows, skip this one. i wish i had.
