This really is a no frill product but it's also a no frills price.
It's a good choice when starting out in CQB or edge weapon training and disarms as the rubber blade will bend, and so is a bit more forgiving when things go wrong - as some other training knives I have have a harder plastic, or even wooden or blunt metal blades, and they still really hurt if you get tagged by one in the gut or ribs. However - it does mean that some techniques you cannot train with this item. But for general basic knife techniques it's fine.
The rubber blade does tend to eventually perish, become brittle and snap off at the handle as the rubber degrades (I've got through 2), but you'll get plenty (years) of use out of them and it's not really a concern. Also the paint does start to flake along the base of the blade as it bends with each strike, but again - not a concern.
Not really that realistic, but a good basic starting point. Better than learning with a hard blade anyway. Size wise it's about the size of an average sheath knife: About a 4.5'' blade and 4'' handle - something like that.
