There was a lot of story packed into this short novella. At times it seemed like the author was rushing to push every detail into the book, rather than focusing on the short story. The details and catching up detracted from the emotional essence of the story for me. Otherwise, the paranormal world of element based fae was intriguing, and I would have loved to either have more details in a longer novel or less detail and a more focused love story.
This is my first book by this author, and although the book wasn't bad, based on this experience I'm not all that excited to read more short stories by this author, but would be interested in giving a longer book a second chance.
