These days you just dont realise how much power is being used within your computer for all those add on's to make your computer experience better. Extra power for motherboard connections (now 20+4 connectors), extra power for supplimentary motherboard connections 4 or 6 pins, extra power for graphics cards 4 or 6 pins, plus an array of attachments disk drives, CD/DVD/BluRay/SATA/eSATA etc etc.

My last power supply 600w lasted only 2 years, and it was a good manufacturer but was used 10 hours a day. I think we all forget we are using our computers now far more often so they are in use for a lot longer each day than ever they used to be.

This unit appealed due to the output (750w) linked to the reasonable price and a major recognised branded house. The fact that is was a "BLACK" edition did nothing for me to be honest but if your system is black then this may be an added quality for you.

Pro's...

Comes with a really good solid build.
Comes with full fitting instructions in full colour.
Comes with the 4 mounting screws provided (a minor item but gives impression of thinking of everything).
Comes with the 20 main power link with 4 add on main power link 'coupled' for the full 24 power supply needed for modern motherboards.
Comes with the 4 pin power supply for the added motherboard power link.
Comes with the 6 pin power link for added graphics card power if needed.
Comes with 4 [older] 4 pin power links for Disk/CD/DVD support...also a floppy disk connection at end (why-these should now be terminated)!
Comes with 4 [newer] multi sata power links for Disk/DVD/BluRay support...also a floppy disk connection at end (again get rid of these now!).
Comes with all wires long enough to reach your intended targets. I have had to 'extend' some power supply cables in past so this again showed good advance thought.
Comes in sturdy poly inner wrap then sturdy cardboard outer so really good protection. If buying via Amazon you then have their cardboard box outer with protection brown paper inner. All in all a really good protection method.....just remember to recycle all that paper/cardboard. (Have just sent note to Amazon saying they need to on-print "RECYCLE ME" notices to their packaging!
Comes with rally quite fan - honestly cant hear it, fantastic!

Cons...

Err, unless this thing blows up in the next few hours I really cant see one. Just a great piece of kit you will install and then forget about. Let's face it the best kit is that you dont have to worry about.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
Colin.

This PSU is inaudible even at high load in is very stable thanks to its duel 12v rails . 2x sata , 8x molex ,1x fdd , 1x fdd.
the sata cables are very very short so it is no good in a big case. good value and the efficiency is probably on par.

Well constructed, provides a stable supply, has heaps of different connectors, is at stupidly low price! Simpy the best price /performance /quality ratio of it's type anywhere on the web at this time.

So far so good.
The PSU did NOT come with screws, even though the manual specifically says it does. Luckily I was able to use the screws from my old PSU to fix it in place. Read more
