I bought this to be used with my new grafics card, replacing my old 300W PSU.
When comparing the 12V current numbers I lerned that it actually would give lower power out compared to the old one. (but it still use more power in since it is a lot less effective compared to my old PSU)

I selected this PSU because it is the most powerful available to fit a small form factor micro case, plus it is a very reasonable price. I fitted into an old but unused Lian Li 9320 aluminium case. 500 watts is overpowered for my particular setup, (Asus M2N-VM-HDMI, Athlon 64x2 4800, 320Gb SATA II, WinXP) but I did not see the point of getting either of the lower 300 or 400 watt rated versions. It runs very quietly, and generates no heat at all. I cannot speak for its reliability, I have only used it a week. It has enabled me to make a cracking little PC out of these older components which are hardly worth the trouble of auctioning off.
