Having previously purchased a book by Judith Blacklock I didn't hesitate to order this. A lovely book, good layout, and diagrams to explain method. It's a similar format of the 'Flower Arranger' magazine in places (of which Judith B is Editor) and includes some of the best examples of floral art as seen in issues.
This book includes sections on the basics, areas within a Church, styles of arrangement, tips, and 'occasions' (including a section on 'Flower Festivals'). There is also a super section at the beginning which identifies foliage - with photographs.
An excellent price with Amazon, and worth every penny if you enjoy floral art/arranging.

As someone who has fairly recently taken over the responsibility of doing my local Church Flowers, I thought I would treat myself to this lovely book. What a great purchase!!! The book kept me totally intrigued for hours on end - I went through it page by page several times - who would've thought a 'flower arranging book' could equal a great novel - I was like a child the day it was delivered and couldn't wait to start reading!! It is certainly the kind of book you can lift at any time, but beware, before you know it, an hour or two will have passed whilst you enter the wonderful world of flowers!! Thank you Amazon for a great service!!

I bought this book for my sister in law (a vicars wife) for Christmas, although I must admit she nearly didnt get it! I would have bought this book for the pictures alone, which are not only beautiful but show what can be done with a little imagination. I have not made any of the arrangements myself (yes, I did have to wrap it up eventually) but the guidance looked clear and simple to follow and covered a wide range of situations where unusual as well as traditional flower arrangements may be needed. I especially liked the arrangements done using fruits / vegetables which show what can be done with colour and a little creativity. Overall a beautiful book and one that you wont regret buying...

This book covers special occasions & also gives ideas for weekly arrangements throughout the year. I would thoroughly recommend it and the illustrations are fantastic.
