When Chuck Bartowski opens an e-mail subliminally encoded with government secrets, he unwittingly downloads an entire server of sensitive data into his brain. Now, the fate of the world lies in the unlikely hands of a guy who works at a Buy More Electronics store. Instead of fighting computer viruses, he must now confront assassins and international terrorists. With the government's most precious secrets in Chuck's head, Major John Casey of the National Security Agency assumes the responsibility of protecting him. His partner is the CIA's top agent--and Chuck's first date in years--Sarah Walker. They'll try to keep him safe by trading in his pocket protector for a bulletproof vest. Chuck Season 4 is another fantastic addition to this underappreciated show. This season sees Chuck searching for his mother and battling the evil Alexei Volkoff and his empire. Both these characters are played by Linda Hamilton and Timothy Dalton who do a great job and are welcome additions to the show. Timothy Dalton in particular is a real highlight of season 4 and he is fantastic as the menacing, yet playful, Volkoff. This season also takes Chuck and Sarah's relationship a step further and this is what takes focus for the latter half of the season, along with the introduction of Vivian Volkoff (Played by Lauren Cohen). We also get to see a new dynamic in the Casey and Morgan 'friendship' and it's nice to see this unexpected bromance blossom.
This season also introduces us to Casey's ole team in Chuck Vs. The Couch Lock and Sarach's old team in Chuck Vs The Cat Squad which are welcome additions to these characters backstory. Season 4 also is gifted with a large umber of guest stars such as Dolph Lundgren, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Robert Englund and Gary Cole who all adds something special to the episodes they star in.
Seaon 4 also features some great episodes such as: Chuck Versus the Anniversary, Chuck Versus the Couch Lock, Chuck Versus the First Fight, Chuck Versus the Leftovers, Chuck Versus the Cat Squad and Chuck Versus the Muuurder.
Also, the final two episodes of the season, Chuck Versus the Last Details and Chuck Versus the Cliffhanger ensure that season 4 ends with a bang and the final scene of season 4 will leave you screaming at the screen for more Chuck.
The fourth season of Chuck is a great addition to the show and is entertaining from start to finish and is a must buy for all Chuck fans and if you have never seen Chcuk before please go out and buy season 1 and start enjoying this amzaing show.
It's not easy being a fan of Chuck, it is a show that is well wrote, well acting and is ridiculously entertaining....however it doesn't get the ratings it deserves and is always a show on the bubble of cancelling meaning us fans spend a lot of time worrying if this season will be it's last....however thankfully Chuck has been renewed for it fith and final season and I personally can't wait to see how it ends.

Actually I love Yvonne Strahovski who is simply wonderful as agent Sarah Walker. She's absolutely gorgeous but not in a "I-know-I-am-so-worship-me mode" but in an appealing adorable way. That she can act and act well helps a lot. The only other actress I can think of who has that sort of appeal is Kaley Cuoco of The Big Bang Theory. But then the perfect casting of the three leads is one of the main reasons why this series is so appealing. Strahovski, along with Levi and Baldwin, have great comic chops which work by them playing it more or less straight.
What's also helped is the character development of the leads and the gradual unveiling of their various secrets which help keep things bubbling along. One thing I was concerned with after watching the first series was how the relationship between Chuck and Sarah would develop. After three seasons of the Castle the relationship between the two leads remains unchanged. That hasn't happened here. That relationship -romance, really- has grown as Chuck has grown in confidence as a spy. At the beginning he was gawky and unsure of himself, secretly pining for Sarah who couldn't bring herself to admit she had feelings for him. As this season begins, they are not only living together but Chuck is taking the lead on some missions. The romance sub-plot is now: will they get engaged and if they do, will they get married?
But of course there's also lots of spy work to do. This season we finally meet Chuck's mother (Linda Hamilton) who may or may not be on the side of evil Russian oligarch Alexei Volkov (Timothy Dalton), the season's Big Bad. Dalton is, unsurprisingly, brilliant as the manic murderous mastermind and he looks as if he's enjoying every minute of it. As usual there are plenty of twists and turns and surprise revelations and other guest stars.
Next season will be the last and a truncated 13 episodes at that and I'm actually glad. To be honest, I wouldn't have minded if this season had been the end as it would have been a satisfying conclusion. There's nothing worse than something good going on too long. A good show like this should finish at the top leaving nothing but happy memories in the minds of the audience. When I think of all the other drama shows on TV I like, I can honestly say that I enjoy this one the most. Yes, even more than Dr. Who, The Big Bang Theory, Castle, and How I Met Your Mother.
Oh, and the blooper reel is very funny.

As a long time admirer of Mr Dalton, I adored his interpretation of the Bronte heroes and longed to see him do more Shakespeare. However I have to admit that his strongest performances are his comedy roles- who could fail to be utterly charmed by the psychopathic Volkoff? As is the case with Hot Fuzz; Rocketeer; Bitter Suite etc, his performance is playful, engaging, and funny. I'm smitten.

The last DVD of the box was full of scratches (bad packaging???)....
This last season of Chuck is just as good as the other ones. Funny, relaxing and full of unexpected twists. I enjoyed watching it.

this is the best series so far! not that the rest weren't good but i think with this series they added a little bit extra humour wise and it worked!
