Following from the brilliant season 2 finale, chuck season 3 takes a bit of a new direction as chuck begins his training to become a spy. Some may think that this has changed chuck too much but I can tell you sincerely that they are wrong. Full of laughs, lots of action, plenty of Casey's one liners and of course barrel loads of romance between chuck and sarah. You've got to watch the first two seasons before buying but I kid you not, it isn't possible to be disappointed with this season. Cannot wait for season 4!!!

With Chuck's Intersect powers now including a physical element, he has become more useful to the NSA/CIA and so the missions become more serious. Sadly, so does the series, with somewhat less of the humour from Seasons 1 and 2 that arose whenever Chuck was in over his head. However, a long-running sub-plot featuring Captain Awesome goes some way to redress that.
The good news is that the interrelationships of the characters are as strongly written as ever, with the actors inhabiting them so comfortably, it's hard to remember that this is only fiction.
Recurring guest star Brandon Routh is a significant addition to Team Bartowski as they go up against "The Ring", who have taken over from "Fulcrum" as the 'big bad'. Routh was the last actor to play Superman on the big screen, while another new guest star, Kristin Kreuk, was a show regular on pre-Superman TV show Smallville and now appears as a potential love interest for our hero.
Chuck's newly-returned father - played to eccentric perfection by genre favourite Scott Bakula - continues to play an important part where both Chuck's personal and professional lives intersect (see what I did there?). Another stand-out guest is Armand Assante, chewing the scenery for all it's worth as a flamboyant South American dictator.
Oh, and some more people find out the truth about Chuck. All in all, it's top stuff.

Chuck is back for another season, and what a spectacular season it is! It's something for everyone, the season sees a heated romance, action and unpredictable plot, and it had me on the edge of my seat for the whole season. I won't give the plot away because that would spoil it greatly, but there is a new force to be beckoned with, the Ring and new challenges to overcome throughout the season, for example the love triangle. The acting, as always is five star!I've just brought season four and can't wait to see what happens next.
This is such an amazing season well worth watching, if you haven't seen the first two seasons then I strongly recommend watching them first. Totally five star!

very good dvd, very funny and well worth buying.all the family enjoy watching it. liked it lots. Zachary is very good as Chuck developing onto more of a spy.
