Product Description

"The Chronicles of Wormwood" continues in this all-new original graphic novel that picks up right after the original trade paperback! Wormwood, Jimmy, and Jay all return and the world hasn't gotten any better since their last adventure. Wormwood still produces questionable TV shows and pines for Maggie, his lost love. The boys all share drinks at their favorite pub and try to get on with their lives, but Pope Jacko has his own plans for Wormwood. In order to dispatch the Anti-Christ once-and-for-all, he calls upon his finest Holy assassin, Brother One, the Killer Eunuch!

1.0 out of 5 stars Nasty Book, 3 Sep 2008
By D. Smith "Stormwatcher" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is my first review, and is prompted by the purchase of one of the most revolting books in print. I'm all for adult content graphic novels, but this is without doubt the nastiest book I have ever read. I can understand the concept of the anti-christ, but this book is outrageously vile. As a long time fan of the Authority, Stormwatch and other adult titles, I expect an amount of adult content, but this is clearly trying to be utterly disgusting. I would honestly state that you shouldn't buy this unless you enjoy reading about celebrating the eating of babies.
Weak story, (great artwork) and it ends with you wondering what mind could have imagined such utter sewage.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed - not much cop, 29 Mar 2009
By 73mike (UK+EU) - See all my reviews
This story is the equivalent of one or two issues of a comic.
Very short, badly drawn, and about a million miles away from Ennis' best work. Not up to the standard of the original Wormwood series.

Attempts to be offensive, but ends up just feeling a bit rushed and tiresome.

In response to the other reviewer, if this had managed to be a bit more offensive to touchy religionists, it might have rated three stars. As it stands, it doesn't.

A quick cash-in on a decent series. Only for people who insist on having complete sets...
