I had imagined that this would be a chrome pull switch. It's actually chrome-coloured plastic. It should of course be mounted high enough that this shouldn't matter, but the "click" of the switch when you pull the cord sounds unconvincingly plasticky. This doesn't affect the operation of the switch, of course.
There's a short length of cord doming out of the switch and into a white plastic cord-joiner. It's easy to replace the cord below that point with one of your choosing. I replaced the bottom part of the cord and the little plastic weight with a heavy metal one from John Lewis, which makes the switch feel much better in operation.

If you want a pull switch to match a bathroom with chrome fittings then this does the job and the price is competitive.
Its a pity that the cord pull has a nasty white plastic end (as do all the competitors). Surely anyone who wants the shiny fitting also wants a shiny pull too? I have yet to find a pull switch that is silent (or at least quiet). In a quiet house the click magnified by the plasterboard ceiling can be like a gunshot in the night! Very alarming for the sleeper next to the en-suite!
Having said all that, this product works well and is a reasonable price compared with others. I do not regret buying it.

The pull switch looks very nice and is supplied with a textile cord in order to protect one from a shock. The feel of the mechanism is a sturdy 'click'. However, the only down side is that of the material cord, as I feel it can be designed safely with a chrome beaded chain instead.

Touch of luxury in a light switch
Bought this to replace a rather aged switch, does the job well, looks good, but to complete the look a chrome cord handle would complete the look.
