5.0 out of 5 stars When it's Christmas Time Again 17 Jan 2009
By Angela
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I played this more than any other of my Christmas CDs this year. Wrapping presents, writing cards, playing softly at dinner, it was the perfect mood setter. I particularly adore 'It's Christmas Time Again' which expresses the happy anticipation of Christmas Eve and 'My Dear Acquaintance (A Happy New Year)'. They don't write them like that any more. Her voice is sublime.

5.0 out of 5 stars Missing Song 13 Dec 2010
By M. Cox
Format:Audio CD
My mum had many of these on LP that were played every year when we decorated the house. These are lovely songs about love, hope and peace, as well as fun at this time of year. This collection is lovely when you compare it with the same songs that are dragged out every year. There is, however, one track missing. It's 'Christmas Alphabet', a fun little number that has been done by so many artists over the years. But it's this version I remember from my childhood, and I think it's the best.

Pick this up if you want some new songs to listen to over Christmas. Great for sitting with a warm drink (mulled wine or hot chocolate) and enjoying yourself with someone special.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not one to miss!! 8 Nov 2006
By Noreen Rachuba - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I just finished listening to this CD. I'm a big collector of holiday CDs and this happens to be one of the best by far. This should be a definite purchase for you. For those of us who grew up in the 1960's this CD has that definite era's vibe. I was familiar with "I like a Sleigh Ride, Jingle Bells", one of my fav Christmas tunes, but some of the others like "Don't forget to feed the reindeer", were new to me. I'm so glad I bought this!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best redone. 2 Dec 2007
By Ruth Lynn Craig - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Peggy Lee had a unique view on everything, including Chistmas. This re-done album is abslutely stunning because she adds her own unique interpretaton ever song on the album, the old ones and the new ones. Her voice is true and her jazz style shines through. This is a real classic, one to own and keep forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant 25 Dec 2007
By William Baker - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I had a party on the 22nd of December. As soon as I played this cd, everyone came to see who it was. Some know Peggy's sound, some don't. Babyboomers like me appreciate the trip back memory line when television had tons of variety shows and holiday themes starting the first of December. The sound is clean and sweet. If you love Peggy.....buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christmas with Peggy Lee album 12 Jan 2007
By M. Phipps - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Peggy Lee has a beautiful voice & why her music isn't played more on the local radio stations around Christmas time is a mystery to me. There are some good classics on here as well as some more unique songs. "Don't Forget to Feed the Reindeer" is especially nice to hear again.
