This is a very nice book and well worth buying for a child who is learing to play the piano as the arrangements are quite simple.
It has a hardcover and is spiral bound which also makes it very practical. However, each page is set on differently coloured paper which although is very pretty, it may make you think twice about annotating it for a learner.
There are 37 different pieces in this book (mainly Carols) though of these there are about 15 wordless tunes. It is also worth noting that (according to the notes in this book) there are 2 versions of "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem". The one in this book (by Louis Redner) is not what I would call the normal tune, but then maybe that is just my bias.
The illustrations in this book are in silhouette & are very attractive.
Overall I would definitely recommend this book, it is lovely.
