This is the shaped picture disc vinyl version of The Darkness' Christmas single. The vinyl itself is excellent. It's a picture disc, which makes it nice to look at as well as to listen to - Side A has part of the CD artwork on it, and Side B has the back of the CD booklet's artwork on it. And of course it's shaped too, which makes it look even more cool, if a little hazardous to your stylus (the extremely jaggged and irregular shape means that if you don't quite get the stylus in the right place it can run off the disc and start bouncing along the shaped parts - so be warned) The music is also excellent, with Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End) on side A. This really should have been Christmas number 1 - a funny, light-hearted, Christmassy song - yet still retaining rock credibility - a feat only Slade have pulled off before. And on side B you can find the suggestively titled 'I Love You 5 Times' - but don't be fooled, it's actually a power ballad. One of their better B-sides, definitely an improvement on 'Physical Sex' and about as good as 'Makin' Out' - which were both from their previous single 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love'.
