Book Description

7 Oct 2013
Ebenezer Scrooge is dead. And, though he willed his business to Bob Cratchit and his house to his nephew Fred, he gave all his fortune away before he departed. Therefore, according to Scrooge’s nephew, the two families must be “industrious” if they are to keep from falling into poverty. Tim Cratchit takes this advice to heart. He fears nothing more than the want that plagued his family when he was a child. As he grows to manhood, he pursues financial success with all his might, and by age nineteen he has become the shrewdest clerk at Scrooge and Marley’s. So shrewd, in fact, that this particular Christmas, he has decided to forgo the company of his family to chase a business venture. But it is seven years since Scrooge died, and when Tim visits his grave, the old man—living or not—is determined to prevent Tim from following in his footsteps…

5.0 out of 5 stars Alydia Rackham's the "Christmas Parcel" Delivers! 21 Nov 2013
By King Tut - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The "Christmas Parcel" is a wonderful sequel to the Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol." Alydia Rackham's writing style gives the reader vivid characters and setting descriptions that makes one feel that they are truly an observer to the events going on in the story. The "Christmas Parcel" also delivers a positive message that will put everyone in the Holiday Spirit. The front and back covers of the print edition were also beautifully done by hand by Suzanne Millan, and give the reader the look of a vintage Christmas parcel. Deliver the "Christmas Parcel" to your family and friends. They will cherish it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Christmas Classic! 9 Dec 2013
By Team Chococat - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Christmas Parcel left me with a wonderful feeling inside. It continues Charles Dickens' classic tale of the Christmas Carol, enveloping the reader in the story of Timothy Cratchit, now a young man making life choices that could potentially have drastic consequences, much like his benefactor, Mr. Scrooge. And although he is gone, one dark Christmas eve Mr. Scrooge bestows upon Tim the gift of Chance...in the hopes of preventing young Tim from following in his footsteps. The characters are vivid and the tale beautifully told. It will be a Christmas classic read every year in my home. Loved it!

4.0 out of 5 stars A great companion to A Christmas Carol 4 Dec 2013

I really enjoyed this book, especially here right before Christmas! I think my favorite line(s) were:
"For fear is the weapon of the Enemy-the sharpest and swiftest sword that he uses to cut man off from the life he is meant to lead. If a man is afraid, he can be certain that the Evil One is trying to foil him."

That section just really spoke to me.

Very nice addition to the A Christmas Carol book.
