this album is the best alternative christmas album, i've ever heard. the way they take a traditional song and turn round completly, into what could be classed as the new style of christmas songs. an utterly outstounding album.

You listen to the Chas & Dave interpretation of famous carols and realise that the hand held view of the Christmas song is just like this-untrained voices with the Salvation Army band in the background.
Its like the carol singers in the town square.
Probably the way it was in Victorian England when Christmas was more or less invented.
They keep to their limitations and are all the better for it.This isn't the Clare College its what these carols really ARE
