Elizabeth Blane is America's best loved mother and grandmother and the star of a successful cooking show and author of several books, her problem? She can't cook, she's single and she has no kids. When forest ranger, Jefferson Jones, saves a kid from the snow after 6 days of searching Elizabeth's manager sees the opportunity for a publicity stunt.
This isn't the worst Christmas film I've ever seen. I admit the acting isn't the greatest but it's generally good. Elizabeth (Dyan Cannon) making an attractively, lively heroine and Kris Kristofferson makes a fantastic bemused Jefferson. This was Arnold Schwarzenegger first film being the director and it shows; it's done in a very heavy-handed manner. The film does have it's boring moments but it does have quite a few funny moments, for me it could have been a lot funnier than it was. The basic concept was good, though.
