4.0 out of 5 stars Gave this as a gift 5 Jan 2013

I live in AZ and gave this cookbook as a gift based on the word of a woman who is the best cook I know; she has used this cookbook for many years. I rated it four stars, because at this point, she uses it solely for the soup recipes, which she says are amazing and unbeatable. However, she said the rest of the recipes are not good. So, if you are looking for good regional southwest soup recipes, this is your book. For anything else, this book may be a waste of time and money.

I LOVE love love my cookbook! So much so that I had to purchase this additional one for my best friend so she may also enjoy traditional, and some not-so-traditional, Arizona holiday cooking!
2.0 out of 5 stars It's OK 16 Jan 2003

After living in Arizona most of my life I was expecting more from this cookbook. It's always a toss up. Half the time the recipies are not really that good. (Make sure you try them out yourself first, before making them for guests.)
