Fantastic Pop 10 Feb 2004
By Steven
Format:Audio CD
This was Christine McVie's second solo album, and it is well worth an hour or so of your time. A great success when it was first released, the music itself is highly evocative of the 1980s, and fans of McVie's compositions for Fleetwood Mac will not be disappointed. As usual, her keen sense for a good tune is evident, as is wonderful writing (especially with Todd Sharp) and well-crafted sound. Featuring guest work by Lindsey Buckingham, Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood, this album will delight McVie/Fleetwood Mac aficionados, and appeal to anyone who can remember the dizzy pleasure of 80s pop music at its best.

Excellent 4 July 2004
By Mark
Format:Audio CD
Christine McVie's second solo album is a pop gem: full of her trademark elegance (lyrically and musically). 'Got a Hold on Me' and 'Love Will Show us How', as well as 'Who's Dreaming this Dream', are standout tracks, although there isn't any dead wood on this LP. This body of work can stand proudly with any of Christine's Fleetwood Mac material and reminds us that she deserves so much more credit than she was ever given in the shadow of Bob Welch, Stevie Nicks or Lindsey Buckingham.

I am such a great fan of Fleetwood Mac and their music and I just love Christine's songs and her husky style voice so naturally I had to find out if she had a solo album just like Stevie Nicks had produced her own. Well I was in for a real surprise when I found this album. It has some really brilliant songs with more of a poped up jazzy feel to it, much different to her previous songs in her Fleetwood Mac days. If anyone else is wondering about whether to buy this album, I highly recommend you do! This is such a fantastic collection of songs from a much under-rated and under-recognised band member and singer/songwriter. Worth it's weight in gold
