This is a captivating read about real life situations where people have got into difficulties in the UK today for simply living out their Christian faith. Our society must face the truth that we have elements who are deeply intolerant of anyone with a personal faith in Jesus Christ

It was very clear as to what many Christians have to go through in the workplace. It just shows how Christianity is not what it used to be in this country.

I am ordering a second copy of this book Christians in the Firing Line having given my original copy to my GP for circulation among her colleagues. I have spent a long lifetime reading books, but this is the first occasion on which I have felt compelled to pass one on. I believe that it carries a vital message which is largely unheard. Two things about this book struck me most forcibly : first the monstrous, Soviet style, injustice of the cases which deprived people of their livelihoods and, in some instances, their professional qualifications. Secondly, I was struck by the radiancy of the faith which the victims manifested. They were not only unbowed they were empowered by their ordeals. It was apparent that they had experienced the reality of God's power in their weakness and suffering. Even if you have no faith but care for freedom of speech and action I urge you to buy this book, read it and pass it on.

If this had been written by an outsider, such as a TV investigator or a journalist, the book would have had a cutting edge, which it lacks. But it wasn't: it was written by an insider, Dr Richard Scott. one of those who have been 'under fire'.
For many today, Christianity is a personal hobby. For others, it lies at the very heart of their lives. It may have called them to their work and it certainly motivates them. The hope of the author must be that those who are Christians may be encouraged by this book, and that those who belong to the secular world may be helped to see why some - many? - Christians are prepared, and even choose, to be in the firing line.

A very well written book about 13 true stories of really serious stressful situations that have hardly ever been a problem until recently.
To lose your career and home and security and be publicly criticised lasting many months because of your support for your Christian beliefs must be devastating
Freedom to express different faiths or non faith views in public is perfectly acceptable and legal now for everyone in the UK
So were these Christians being discriminated against when they were taken to court and some lost their jobs.
Read what happened and then decide if you think this was fair?

Christians, once viewed as model citizens, are increasingly under attack in the UK from political extremists.
An important book to read.
