Product Description

Product Description

The Christianity Explored paperback book, written by UK Evangelist Rico Tice and Barry Cooper, is a jargon-free introduction to Jesus Christ.

Drawing from the book of Mark in the Bible the book explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him.

Concise, entertaining and honest, it's an ideal book for anyone with little or no experience of Christianity. It can be used to encourage people to join a course, to consolidate what has been learned by a guest, or simply as a way of reaching those who would rather not attend a course.

About the Author

Rico Tice is an Associate Minister at All Souls Church, Langham Place in London. As a passionate evangelist, he developed the Christianity Explored course. Barry Cooper has worked as a professional actor, but is now full time writing, developing materials and training with the Christianity Explored, ministry.

This book is an unashamed punchy explanation of what the Christian faith is about. Anyone who thinks the Christian faith is dull,hypocritical or for the gullible should read it to have their preconceptions challenged. What I like best about it is that Cooper and Tice allow their charming,self-deprecating characters to shine through with plenty of humour and relevant references to their own interests in cinema and sport. It should be added, that this is never at the expense of the Biblical truths- though I suspect that people over a certain age might not be au fait with references to RADIOHEAD or THE MATRIX! Not only is the book challenging, it is also unintimidatingly easy to understand and refreshingly unsentimental and sharp. Give this as a gift to your non-Christian friend, but also read it yourself to remind you of the joy of the incredible love of Jesus.

A marvellously engaging examination of the relevance of Christianity in our fractured world, obviously pitched at the younger generation but suitable for anyone wanting to know more about the claims of Christianity. The authors rely heavily on Mark's gospel to unpack some of the central claims of the Christian faith - the life of Jesus, his miracles, his claims, the necessity of his death, the reality of the resurrection - in a way that actually makes sense. They also explain Christian buzz words such as 'grace' in a way that actually enables you to understand. The reason I bought this book was so that I could offer a robust explanation for my Christian faith if anyone should ask me why I am a Christian - the book has not failed to deliver.

Christianity Explored in Study booklet form is excellent in getting the relevant down to earth questions out to the public without all the usual rigmarole that surrounds our faith.

Lord God, I have not loved you with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. I am sorry for the way Ive lived, rebelling against you in so many ways. I now understand who Jesus is. I understand that when he died on the cross, he was being punished in my place, so that I could be forgiven and have eternal life. I gratefully accept that gracious gift. "e;
