Format:Audio CD
This is a wonderful CD. The music of Taize has long been recognised for its haunting, prayerful (and joyful) qualities, and this CD does not fail to deliver. It takes you to a place beyond conciousness, allowing you the inner space to commune with that which you may or may not call God.
These chants, unlike earlier chants, are mostly written by the brothers themselves, but their harmonic structure and simplicity remains true to the original Jaques Berthier chants of yesteryear.
If you want to pray quietly at home, buy this. Better still, play it at the beginning of a long journey. It will teach you much about the importance of pilgrimage.
