Chris George is the Group Editor-in-Chief of Digital Camera, N-Photo and PhotoPlus magazines at Future Publishing. He has been a journalist and photographer for over 20 years.
He got his first SLR camera as a gift the age of 17, and won the title of Young Photographer of the Year a few months later with some street photography shots taken on holiday in Greece. After deciding to pursue a career in journalism, he discovered that he could combine his passions for writing and photography by writing books and magazines on how to take better pictures.
He worked closely with the late John Hedgecoe on many of his books, in addition to those under his own name. He helped launch PhotoPlus and N-Photo magazines, and has worked on a number of imaging magazines including PhotoPlus, Amateur Photographer, Video Camera, and What Camera.
