this third book in the series,truly captivates you and makes you want more.
a truly special series and lots of plot twists.
the only problem i have with this book is the choices zoe makes,boyfriend wise.i spent most of my time reading the book cringing,thinking 'what are you thinking zoe'

The house of night series is seriously addictive and the books just get better and better. I LOVED this book, so many unexpected things happen, the realtionships are believable and you can definately relate to the protagonist Zoey Redbird. It made me laugh and feel happy, sad, nervous, anxious...just OMG! If you've read the first two house of night novels (marked and betrayed) then trust me this is a must read! And if you haven't read any of the house of night novels then what the hell are you doing with your life?! Buy marked and get reading!

The House of Night books are easy to read, and I think this is one of the main reasons I put up with them. I hate to start a series and not finish it. I waited a few weeks after finishing Betrayed to buy this book, because the first two had too much repetition and I didn't know if I wanted to put up with that so soon. This book had the repetition, but mainly only at the beginning. Towards the end it got better, and I'm happy to say I'm a little bit intrigued to see what is going to happen next. One thing that definitely bothers me about this series is how so little happens in so many pages. This is the third book in the series and Zoey has still only been at the House of Night for two months. It seems to me that all of the events that have happened in the first three books could have been compiled into one good (if not really good) book. I think that the concept of the series is a good one, but that it could have been formulated better.
