Product Description
We have improved the award winning SuperShield HDMI cable. The new cable is certified high speed and now features dedicated ethernet and audio return wiring.
Alongside the ethernet and audio return wiring, we have also improved the internal wiring - In place of the oxygen free copper conductors used in the original SuperShield, are heavier 26 AWG conductors, silver-plated to improve signal transfer. Insulation is gas foamed polyethylene and a dual layer high frequency effective shield protects the signal cables.
We have fitted an improved HDMI plug. The Chord SuperShield is now fitted with a die-cast moulded plug that has been engineered for a more secure connection.

Bought this for blu ray on what hifi recommendation. I'm happy with it. I don't have a surround sound system though, so can't say what effect it has on that but works very well with blu ray "visuals" for me. I also have a 2METER PRO GOLD RED (1.4a Version, 3D) HDMI TO HDMI CABLE WITH ETHERNET,COMPATIBLE WITH 1.4,1.3c,1.3b,1.3,1080P,PS3,XBOX 360,SKYHD,FREESAT,VIRGIN BOX,FULL HD LCD,PLASMA & LED TV's AND ALSO SUPPORTS 3D TVS. (cheaper) that I compared and it seems just as good, although the Chord one seems to fit fractionally more snug. Bear in mind I have neither the set up nor the expertise to differentiate more precisely. Good product

I am very happy, wasn't sure it was worth paying a bit extra and upgrading my HDMI cable...I'm glad I did though...the picture is sharper and the the colours more vibrant. It is like turning up the colour without having the saturation...light and dark is more empahised and makes all my dvd's look like I'm watching them for the first time...sound is improved, too...very pleased. Buy one!

This is a first class product which I am using to view High Definition material from my laptopo to a television screen. The results are impecable.

Great product from a great dealer
I bought these for my son's new surround sound system and new blue ray player. He reports the leads improved both sound and vision quality which is what they are supposed to.
