I'll keep this review short and answer the simple question is this mic any good, considering there's little in the way of reviews on the net for this product.
I Took a gamble and the gamble paid off. A Quality mic without a doubt.. similar standard to AT2020 and AKG120. It's a bargain with the mount also. This is the XLR phantom powered version and is perfect in the studio on everything I've thrown at it. I Was using a couple of AKG c1000s and this is well detailed over them, if this helps you to get a feel for its quality. Shame there's no frequency response chart anywhere on the net, you could see exactly for yourself what it's capable of. Have no fear making a purchase if your money is tight for a studio mic.. Amazing Quality at this price!

If you buy a condenser studio microphone for around £50 you might expect its construction to be a bit tacky. However this microphone has nothing tacky about it. I bought one a couple of years back and have been very impressed with it natural sound and low noise. Its response pattern is not switchable but as a general purpose cardiod mic it has really excellent performance. I've just bought a second one to use for stereo recording of choirs and larger instrumental groups. I have no negative comments except a very trivial one: the clamp can be a little difficult to tighten sufficiently to stop the mic, which is quite heavy, from moving. If you don't have a thousand pounds plus to spend on a studio mic try this one and I doubt if you will be disappointed.

I had been looking for a condenser mic for my home studio for a while.
The Behringer C1 was top of my list having seen many reviews and the price was well cheap.

Although unable to find any reviews of the CCM1 I took a gamble and went for it, spec wise it is very close to the C1. Supplied with the spider mount however made it cheaper than the C1 (£35 + £12 for the spider mount) and I very gale I did.

Performance is out of this world both with vocal and instrument. response range is great easily picking up low and high end.
Very low noise and crystal clear.

I have tested it with vocals, acoustic guitar, bass (micing up the bass cab) and can not fault it in any way.

First off, I should mention that although I ordered the Chord CCM1, I received a Citronic CCM1 instead. I'm sure that they are made in the same factory to the same standards with only a change in branding and nothing else.

For around £45, you get the condenser microphone itself, a rugged leather pouch to store it in and a fairly standard but effective shock-mount.

The microphone itself looks and feels the part, it's much weightier than you would expect it to be although it still isn't a chore to carry around (just make sure you don't drop it!). The recording quality is nice, it has a raw sort of sound and is very sensitive like most condensers so try and ensure that there isn't anyone talking in another room or anything as it will record a lot of ambient noise.

NOW I'm not sure if this is simply a problem with the microphone I have or if they all do this, but for some reason it only records on the left channel. Be aware that this is a mono microphone, but I thought on my DAW it would just show up as recording the same level for both the right and the left channel but it doesn't. I think it would be easy to remedy through software but I haven't quite figured out how yet as panning to the right just acted as a mute for the track, maybe there's a VST that can do it for you, I don't know. Apart from that, the microphone is more than I could have asked for in this price range. (EDIT: I've found a free plugin named StereoFaker which works very well and can be tweaked to your liking so I would easily recommend getting that as well!)

There isn't much to say about the leather pouch, it's made of a fake leather for the outside and what appears to be a microfiber cloth inner, probably to help keep the microphone clean.

I am pleased about purchasing this its my little pocket ammunition for on the go and recording.

The mic is compact and delivers quite a sonic punch for its price I'm not sure if the manufacturers
got the price right but they have the sound correct. Its a big player for anyone on the go and need a slamming
sounding condenser microphone with a professional sound with a sturdy shock mount and carrying bag.

I would give it 5 stars if they sent a pouch for the shock mount as well even if it was a bit extra cost.

I use mine to do professional radio and TV voice overs and Cutting musical voice recordings.

good bit of kit for the home recording boffs. I found the sound quality to be above average for a quite reasonably priced condenser microphone, I would recommend this Chord CCM1 product any time.T. Price
