This was utterly unlike anything I have heard before, with the spaces between the notes stretched to what was, for me, beyond the limit of acceptance. I could barely recognize this music, and perhaps that was the intention in the search for originality! I did not like the performances, and the recording was intolerable with what they used to call wow and flutter. No!! Not for me. Give me Cortot and Rubinstein and Lipatti anyday.
