Product Description

Synopsis

Cooking food that fits in with the way you want to feel and that produces positive benefits is not beyond the scope of the home cook. By using Steven's delicious dishes, and Simon's ideas on colours and tableware needed to create different atmospheres, even the simplest meal will serve up happiness. The guiding principles of Feng Shui, that is the presence of chi energy in all things, including the food you eat and your surroundings, and the yin/yang nature of that energy - very still to very active, regulate everything to do with food and eating, from the way a kitchen is arranged, to the ingredients chosen, the methods used to prepare and cook the ingredients through to the way the finished dish is presented, the appearance of the table on which it is served and the decor of the room in which it is eaten!

- The only book to combine the talents of a top chef with the wisdom of a master of Eastern philosophy - Prepare food whose health-giving properties only begin with its ingredients - Demonstrates how the appearance, presentation and colours of food work with its flavour and quality to influence mood and behaviour - Shows how the use of flatware, dishes, glasses, table linen and accessories can create moods to avoid family conflict or encourage feelings of romance for example - Illustrates how to cook to suit the seasons, your moods or your companions - Explains how the restaurant you choose to eat in influences the food you choose to eat - Balance your energy by choosing either yin or yang ingredients and methods of cooking

This review is from: Choose Your Food to Change Your Mood: Create Great Looking, Great Tasting Food That Will Revolutionize Your Meals and Revitalize Your Life (Paperback)
Great book, probably what all women already know - so more guys need to read it and get cooking!
If you can find a copy of Steven Saunder's "Chef's Secrets" get it - it's one of my favourite cookery books and I'm hoping he'll write another one soon.
