Pretty comprehensive little paperback, giving meanings of some 3000 names over 250 pages. At the back is also a calendar of saints' days, to assist you further in your selection.
I guess the only fault I can find is that being published in 1987, it lacks some of the chavvy names that are gaining currency- if you want to call your child Mason / Jayden/ Madison etc you won't find it listed (but is that a bad thing?!)

Pretty comprehensive little paperback giving definitions of some 3000 first names over 250 pages. Includes a calendar of saints' days at the back to further assist you in your choice.
Only downside is that being published in 1987 (and for a UK audience) it lacks some of the more modern, and American, names - you won't find Madison, Jayden, Mason, Latoyah etc here!
